Kwang is a passionate sacred music leader who has served as Director of Youth and Young Adult Music Ministry at Christ Cathedral since 2013.

A graduate of the University of California, Irvine (2001-2005), he honed his performance skills as a member of the UCI Symphony Orchestra before embarking on his sacred music journey.

His early career included serving as Music Director at Christ Cathedral Academy (Diocese of Orange), where he developed innovative music programs for kindergarten through eighth grade students, instilling a love of liturgical music in young hearts.

Prior to his current position, Kwang served as Music Director at Blessed Sacrament Parish since 2016, where he led the parish’s multicultural music program. Kwang’s approach blends the discipline of classical training with the joy of spiritual and contemporary expression.

Currently, Kwang is developing new initiatives to bridge STM music ministries as one under Father Eugene Lee’s vision. His projects include a children’s choir, and collaborative concerts featuring the many STM choirs, bringing the music ministry journey full circle while advancing the tradition of sacred music.
