Library Notes

Hello to all of you readers and friends of the library. Even though we now have approximately 3000 items in our collection for reading, viewing, and listening, there are new and exciting materials being published every day by outstanding Catholic authors and producers. Many of these we would love to add to our shelves so that you, our patrons, may have them to enjoy.

To that end, we will, from time to time, place the title of items on our “Wish List” in this bulletin. If you would like to contribute toward the purchase of any of these, you may do so by dropping off a contribution, marked for the Library Wish List, in the library or, if we are closed, in the parish office. Your contribution may be for the general Wish List fund or for a specific item on the list.

Thank you in advance.

and have recently added three excellent volumes
on the life of Christ by the well-known scripture
scholar Raymond E. Brown. Some of our own parishioners have
written books that are part of our collection. Kathleen Bardsley
has authored a fascinating bit of historical fiction on the life of
the Holy Family as seen through the eyes of Mary’s Cat. Another
offering comes from Dan Heneghan who penned an exceptional
story of his own childhood family titled My Dad: A Father’s
Legacy. And, of course, our own Fr. Bill has written several
books. One of note is his history of The Diocese of Orange. Do
we have other published authors in the parish family with materials
to contribute to our collection? If so, please contact me. My
number is on the ministry page, or come by the library. Hope to
see all of your in your library soon.
